Accessibility Statement

Accelera Solutions designs and builds for federal customers. Accessibility is a baseline requirement, not an afterthought.

Conformance target

WCAG 2.1 Level AA · Section 508

accelerasolutions.com is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the technical baseline incorporated by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for U.S. federal information and communications technology.

This statement reflects the state of the site as of . The full per-criterion conformance detail is published in our Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT 2.5, Rev 508).

How we audit

Continuous, not point-in-time.

Accessibility conformance is verified on every push and every pull request by an axe-core 4.11 CI gate (.github/workflows/a11y.yml) that scans all 19 production routes against WCAG 2.0 AA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and axe best-practice tags. Any serious or critical violation blocks the workflow.

Manual keyboard navigation and screen-reader spot-checks (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows) run alongside the CI gate for each release. Our self-assessed Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT 2.5, Rev 508) is published here; a third-party-verified report can be commissioned on request for specific federal pursuits. The axe-core artifact (axe-results.json) is the automated auditable record.

What's implemented

Engineered, not retrofitted.

  • Keyboard

Skip-to-main-content link on every page. Visible focus indicator (2px Accelera blue, 2px offset) on every interactive element. Logical tab order verified across nav, page content, and footer.

  • Motion

Every animation honors prefers-reduced-motion. The rotating hero subhead pauses on hover and on keyboard focus within the hero; prefers-reduced-motion disables the rotation entirely, leaving a static statement in place.

  • Semantics

Single h1 per page, no skipped heading levels. Landmarks (main, nav, footer, section) labelled where multiple instances exist. Decorative imagery uses empty alt + aria-hidden.

  • Color & contrast

Body text contrast ≥ 4.5:1; large display text ≥ 3:1. Dark color tokens (text-[#a6a6a6] and above) audited against background gradients to ensure compliance under section-blending overlays.

  • Modal & overlay focus

The mobile menu uses native <dialog> with aria-modal="true" and explicit focus return to the opening trigger on close.

  • Decorative media

The hero footage is silent and marked aria-hidden; an sr-only paragraph describes the imagery for assistive-tech users. The animated network HUD overlay is decorative SVG hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

Honest about the gaps.

Third-party careers iframe. The current openings list on /careers is rendered by Paycom's hosted Applicant Tracking System inside an iframe. Accessibility of that embedded experience is the responsibility of the vendor. We provide an alternate-access path (careers@accelerasolutions.com) below the iframe so applicants can submit résumés outside the embedded portal if needed.

Greenhouse-gas report image. The signed FY 2022 GHG disclosure image on /greenhouse-gas-emissions is provided as a visual companion. The full disclosure data is available in accessible HTML on the same page.

PDF artifacts. The HTML site is held to WCAG 2.1 AA on every push by the axe-core CI gate, but document-format artifacts (Capability Statement, SEWP V Ordering Guide, FY 2022 signed GHG disclosure) are audited separately. PDF-tag conformance is a roll-up target; where a PDF is inaccessible, an HTML alternative or contact-based access path is provided in the same page or band.
