Securities and Exchange Commission Achieves Teleworking Requirements
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) engaged Accelera Solutions to develop a solution to comply with the new Telework requirements facing the Federal workforce. These requirements are based on Public Law 106-346 which imposes monetary penalties on Federal managers who do not comply with Telework eligibility and accessibility regulations. The SEC sought a comprehensive solution to meet the requirements for all remote users including both Teleworkers and mobile workers. These requirements focused on the ability to deliver secure, remote access to mission critical applications. The SEC project included the use of the Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 4.0 and the Citrix Access Gateway SSL VPN appliance to provide remote access for 2,000 concurrent users. In addition to securing ICA traffic, the Citrix Presentation Server Platinum also secures internet traffic and VoIP for all of the SEC’s virtual users.
