Defense Security Cooperation Agency
The DSCA supports US involvement overseas in sustaining regional security arrangements and also strengthening defense relationships. In order to fulfill its mission, the DSCA requires personnel to travel globally, and to securely have access to applications important to their mission. Accelera Solutions has completed a Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server farm deployment, which provides the agency with the ability to support 80 concurrent global users. We are continuing to work with the agency to provide the ongoing maintenance and support for the Citrix MetaFrame Server farm and additional layers of security capability.
US Department of State
The US Department of State has a Citrix Presentation Server farm to support remote users for application access. Originally the Citrix Presentation Server farm was established as a convenience to remote users, and it has evolved into a mission critical system. The current user population is global and, therefore, the system must be available 24 hours per day.
Accelera recently performed an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) to confirm the current configuration of the Citrix Presentation Server farm and to provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements. The IV&V provide detailed information related to risk, readiness, and recommendation in the areas of: Security, Network, Operating System, and MetaFrame configurations.
The Graduate School, USDA
The Graduate School, USDA selected Accelera Solutions as an implementation partner and Citrix Reseller to help roll out a desktop replacement and centralized application solution based upon the Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite. Using Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager, more than 400 employees and contractors of the Graduate School USDA are able to access applications, content and enterprise resources securely regardless of their locations. The role-based system of identity management will allow administrators to provide only information that is relevant to the user type. All users will be able to access their same personalized interface, at the main campus, at the school's remote locations, from home or while traveling.
When remote printing became problematic, the Graduate School engineering team brought in Accelera to discuss options. As a ThinPrint reseller, we were able to provide an award-winning driverless print technology, which has proven to resolve those problems.
USAID
The Office of Inspector General selected Accelera Solutions based upon their extensive implementation knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager and the knowledge of the integration of Citrix with RSA SecureID’s Ace Server for dual authentication. The design, build and test, and rollout of this comprehensive Telework Solution has met all USAID requirements.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau
TTB is a law enforcement agency, which has numerous field offices. Last fall the TTB needed the capability to rapidly deploy numerous applications to their field offices. Their split-off from ATF was complete, and they needed Citrix expertise to roll out a new Presentation Server farm. By acquiring the MetaFrame licenses from Accelera, they were able to get the credits needed for the annual 8a set aside quota. They continue to rely on support from Accelera for problem resolution.
Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
HUD delivers specialized applications to users through the Citrix MetaFrame solution as a cost saving measure. This same solution also provides secure, remote access to key applications for traveling users. Accelera performed an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for the Citrix environment and provides ongoing support to assure the efficient operation of this system.
